A Greek JW serves 15? yrs in prison for his neutrality position.
by smiddy ini`m thinking back to the 1960`s/70s of a watchtower article who described a greek brother who was imprisoned for refusing military conscription service and was sentenced to 5 yrs imprionment by the govt.at the end of his confinement he was again ordered to serve in the military,which he declined and was sentenced to another 5 yrs in prison ,i think this occured one more time.
( at that time their was no way you did alternative service ) of course he was hailed as a faithful brother who wouldn`t compromise his beleifs.of course their were probably many more people who went through an experience like this.is their anybody on the board who can verify,or enlighten us to this experience?
i would like to know what happened to the poor buggers who sacrificed their lives in this way.. smiddy.

I never knew how important holidays were till I got to bethel. When I was pioneering trying to get to bethel, I would work holidays if asked for the extra money (double time.) At bethel its like 'oh yeah we don't celebrate holidays so care yo ass in and make books.'
Aint nothing worse than walking to the factory on thanksgiving or x-mas day...AND dont get me started on NEW YEARS day and all the bowl games you miss.
O and nevermind the fact that dispite my sorry ass lions (my football team) playing on thanksgiving day nationwide, I didn't get to see them cause I WAS MAKING CULT LITERATURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

My everyday beer is michelob ultra, just beers I like and seek out newcastle and magic hat nine magic hat circus boy. Now when I'm feeling festive or got some extra money I get a bottle of Chimay ale grand reserve...$14 a pop BUT IT HAS SOME KICK!!!

According to jesus just looking too long at a woman you have commited adultry in your heart so there SHOULD BE A TON of christian men with eyes torn out.
BUT...when you show him a scripture about rape or the ill treatment accorded to women than ALL OF A SUDDEN the bible is not to be taken literal and all these other bumfuck excuses come out. GTFOH!

One thing interesting about the scripture in zechariah you cant say ' hey its figurative' or not to be taken literally.
We know jeruselem was 1 taken by the 'nations' 2 plundered for its spoils 3 half taken into exile and unfortuantely 4 women ravished or raped. As stated at the outset of the scripture these are things that god or 'the Lord' put into action and cause to happen. He gathered the 'nations' together to do those things.

Elders School

it was announced at one hall,not to forget their badges or they wouldn't be allowed inside.. i shared with my mother some things in the elder book without telling her that's where i heard it.

My wife was talking to her aunt (bat-shit crazy pioneer) and the aunt was making a big to-do about how the elders are going to NY for SPECIAL training and instruction?!?
Couple that with there good ole stand-by (and false) scripture in eph 4:8 where they claim it says god gave them gifts in men. All of this just suckers the R&F to think they have spirit direction.

What about the scripture in zephaniah where god said he will gather the nations against israel and its women will be raped/ravished? That scripture at the very least gives tacit approval for the action.
